Up and Coming Brazil

Did you know that Brazil covers almost half of the entire continent of South America? Or that it has a border with every country in South America except Ecuador and Chile? The sheer size of this country tells you that it has a lot to offer. Though we're not going to take you deep into the undiscovered amazon, Brazil has a lot to offer that is not truly known to most travelers.

Possibly, the most beautiful place on the planet is the National Park of Serra da Capivara (Parque Nacional da Serra da Capivara; meaning the birth of a sacred tree). It is a massive 1300 Sq Kilometers and is home to over 30 000 wall paintings. Made by the early people of South America 20 000 years ago, this mountainous range has become a tourist attraction for those seeking to discover what it was like in the past. These paintings depicted every possible action in the daily lives of these prehistoric people. A river that once flowed through the park gave rise to many different animals that were used for food of the prehistoric. The many paintings beautify the entire park and add such notable history to every rock.

Everyone knows Rio de Janiero, but not everyone knows an amazing place named Paraty. No, not Party. Paraty.This little town is far from a party, with the exception of holidays and special occasions of course. It is a peaceful cobblestone town that just radiates positivity. Due to its cobblestone roads and small streets, no vehicles are allowed to enter, making this the optimal spot to take a walk with a treasured one or family. Truly, it is so nice that many of the towns inhabitants are actually foreigners from Europe and else where on vacation. This is a lively yet soothing place for them to get away and live how they want to.

Many of Brazil's small towns and cities can be explored further to show us the many different things it has to offer. Many festivals and holidays exist but there are 2 upcoming events that must be spoken about in Brazil. The summer Olympics is going to be in Rio de Janiero starting from August 5th 2016. No explanation needed. Also, the 2014 FIFA world cup is taking place in many cities in Brazil.
